Parakeet Audible Information Device
The Parakeet™ is an Audible Information Device (AID) designed for custom messaging with a built-in speaker and microphone. When roads and sidewalks are closed, Parakeet allows for up to 60-seconds of pre-recorded instructions to the alternate path for visually impaired pedestrians.
The device recording is motion activated, responding to pedestrians as they approach. This motion detection is customizable, allowing for longer or shorter fields of detection as needed. Additionally, the built-in microphone automatically adjusts its decibel level based on surrounding noise throughout the day.
In compliance with MUTCD Section 6C.03 as part of providing audible information devices for pedestrians with visual disabilities.

Improves ADA of a Work Zone
The Parakeet uses motion detection with configurable activation range to alert pedestrians that approach the work zone of detours and warnings about the work zone via a customizable message. The Parakeet also adjusts decibel levels of the message to help cut through ambient noise.

Simple and Effective
The Parakeet can be mounted to traffic cones and other standard traffic control devices like safety barriers and railings. The casing of the Parakeet is tamper & water resistant, allowing it to be installed in all weather conditions in and out of busy locations.
