All new guardrail components sold by Coral Sales Company meet American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Specification M180, Highway guardrail. Although the majority of the guardrail used is Class A, Type 2, all items carried by Coral Sales Company are available and usually in stock in any of the AASHTO Classes and Types.

Class A – Base Metal nominal thickness 0.105” (12 gauge)
Class B – Base Metal nominal thickness 0.135” (10 gauge)
Type 1 – Zinc coated, 1.80 ounces per square foot (mill galvanized)
Type 2 – Zinc coated, 3.60 ounces per square foot (hot-dip galvanized)
Type 3 – Beams to be painted
Type 4 – Beams of corrosion resistant steel (Corten/Weathering Steel)
